vCreative movement students must wear a solid color leotard (no specific color required), pink tights and pink ballet shoes.
vAll Beginner through Advanced level ballet students must wear camisole leotard style MI207C or MI207L, pink tights and pink ballet shoes. These items can be purchased at http://www.dancedistributors.com/studioallegro.Specific leotard colors are required based on level:
oBeginner Ballet students: All students must wear black.
oIntermediate Ballet students: All students must have black, and have the option of white as a second color.
oAdvanced Ballet students:All students must have black, and have the option of navy and lilac as additional colors.
vBoys must wear a white shirt or leotard, black pants or shorts, white socks and black or white shoes.
vHair must be worn in a bun (all Beginner through Advanced Ballet students).If hair is not long enough for a bun, be sure it is neatly tied back off the face.
vPlease leave jewelry (including watches) at home.Only small earrings may be worn in class.The studio will not be responsible for any lost items.
ATTENDANCE
vIntermediate and Advanced students are expected to attend all of their scheduled classes.In the event that a student is unable to attend class he/she is to call the studio and inform the teacher of his/her absence.Please understand that work at the Intermediate and Advanced levels requires students to be very conscientious about regular class attendance.Excessive absences are unacceptable.In the case of illness or injury, we ask that a parent discuss the situation with us.
vStudents are expected to be on time to all classes.If you are more than 10 minutes late to class, you must have permission from the teacher before entering the studio.
vIf a student needs to leave early from class, he/she must inform the teacher before class begins.We ask that parents do not call during class to have their child dismissed early unless it is an emergency.
POINTE CLASSES
vPointe classes are offered only with the permission of the directors to students who have achieved the technical proficiency and strength required.Students must have taken two ballet classes per week for at least two years before they will be considered for pointe classes.
STUDIO RULES
vNo food/drinks are allowed in the studio.
vAs students enter the studio, they are expected to be quiet and start warming up immediately.Excessive noise in the studio is distracting to other students who are trying to work.
vStudents are not permitted to leave the studio during class unless absolutely necessary (especially between barre and center work).
vAll students are expected to treat their teachers and classmates with respect.It is important that the older students set a positive example for the younger students.Inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.
vChildren should be walked upstairs to the studio and picked up promptly after class.Please do not drop them off at the door.
vIn case of inclement weather, please call the studio for information regarding cancellations.A decision will be made as early as possible, but please double check before leaving for class.
PAYMENTS & FEES
vThere are no refunds or credits for missed classes.All missed classes are to be made up during the year.
vFor all students attending only one class per week, tuition is due in full by September 1st.
vFor students attending two or more classes per week, a monthly payment plan will be administered upon request including a convenience fee of 5% of the full tuition amount. Otherwise, tuition must be paid in full by September 1st.
vAll payments must be submitted by their due date.After a grace period of seven days, a late fee of 10% will be charged on the amount due.
vAll payments must be submitted in the form of cash or check made out to Studio Allegro.A $55 fee will be charged for all returned checks.
